We're absolutely thrilled to announce that Halfway Community Supplies has been awarded a grant from the National Lottery! This incredible funding will supercharge our community project and allow us to bring our vision to life.
Get ready for some serious action over the next few months! Here's what we have planned:
Vegetable Powerhouse: We're expanding our growing areas, turning them into a vibrant and productive vegetable garden. Imagine rows and rows of lush greens, juicy tomatoes, and colorful peppers – all grown right here in our community!
Feathered Friends: We're welcoming some new residents to the farm – chickens! We'll be setting up cozy coops for our feathered friends, who will provide us with fresh, locally sourced eggs and help us to naturally fertilize our garden.
Buzzing with Activity: Our apiary is about to get a whole lot busier! We'll be setting up new beehives, supporting these vital pollinators and producing delicious, local honey.
Summer of Giving:
By summer, we envision a bounty of fresh, healthy produce ready to be shared with the community. We're committed to providing free food packages to local residents who need them most. This could include families facing food insecurity, seniors on fixed incomes, and anyone struggling to make ends meet.
